I think it was less time due to the fact the Y kept changing what lanes were open for lap swim– so probably 40 minutes or less were spent actually swimming. My pace was up due to the fact for at least 1/2 of the swim I was in a lane next to the swim team doing speed drills and I’m a wee bit competitive… but nothing like when I used to race.

So, I tried to do speed work…. but it kinda became “how long can I run at 9:40 pace” and I wasn’t changing from that to my comfortable pace every 1/3 of a mile…
Man was I tired at the end!

So I cracked a hundred miles today!! Did the last mile at a 10minute mile or lower pace- couldn’t believe I had the energy.

Really proud of this run– was able to increase my speed the last half mile to a sub-10 minute mile.
